How safe is a Bali luxury charter?
Safety is regulation, training, maintenance and insurance, all in place before you step aboard.
Regulation
Every vessel flies the Indonesian flag, follows IMO guidelines and is inspected by the Ministry of Transportation each year.
Inspections by Ditjen Perhubungan Laut cover hull, engines, navigation and life-saving equipment. Compliance officers keep Certificates of Seaworthiness and Passenger Ship Safety Certificates current.

Crew
Trained for the moment it matters.
Our core crew have an average tenure of seven years.
- Every crew member
- STCW certified in basic safety, firefighting, first aid and personal survival. Advanced first aid and CPR refreshed every 12 months.
- On each vessel
- At least two crew certified in advanced resuscitation, and engineers trained in fault diagnosis.
- Drills
- Abandon-ship and man-overboard scenarios every six months; fire drills every quarter.
- Dive staff
- PADI or SSI certified up to Instructor level, many with over 2,000 dives in Komodo or Raja Ampat.
Maintenance
Checked daily, dry-docked every year.
Emergencies
Ready before anything happens.
- Safety briefing before every departure
- SOLAS life rafts for 150% of everyone aboard
- Life jackets in every size
- Medical kit with prescription medicines and an AED
- Fixed CO2 fire systems in engine rooms
- Satellite link to shore-based doctors
- Evacuation by air ambulance within 2–4 hours from most locations
- Direct contact with BASARNAS and marine police
Every scenario, from severe weather to mechanical failure, has a set protocol. Joint exercises with local authorities run annually.
Insurance
Protection & Indemnity cover of up to USD 25 million per incident.
P&I covers passenger injury, illness and lost belongings; Hull and Machinery covers the yacht. Every crew member carries medical and accident insurance.
