Definition

Bali luxury charter is the private, single-contract arrangement of yacht, helicopter, villa, security, and concierge services across Bali for a defined party and travel window, billed against a transparent line-item rate card with one deposit, one trip director, and one consolidated invoice — designed for ultra-high-net-worth families, principals, and 5-star hotel concierges sourcing on behalf of guests.

How we structure the engagement

Every Bali Luxury Charter Co. engagement falls into one of four practical tiers. We do not invent custom tier names — these are the patterns we have observed across hundreds of inquiries. Knowing which tier you are operating in helps a procurement officer at a family office, or a concierge at a 5-star property, set expectations on price band, lead time, and the scale of the dedicated team that will be assigned. The four tiers are: Day Charter, Three-Day Curated, Seven-Day Bali Immersion, and Custom Multi-Region. Each tier has a documented inclusion list, a representative price band quoted in US dollars, and a typical client profile.

Tier 1 — Day Charter

Day Charter is a single-day private experience, typically eight to twelve hours of operating time, that combines two to three modalities and ends back at the guest’s accommodation by evening. The most common Day Charter pattern is a morning helicopter scenic from a Bali heliport over the Bukit Peninsula or the volcanic interior, a transfer to a private yacht at Benoa or Serangan for a midday sail to Nusa Lembongan, snorkeling at Manta Point or Crystal Bay, lunch on board prepared by a private chef, and a return either by yacht or by helicopter for sunset.

Tier 1 inclusions

  • Yacht charter: 6-8 hours on a 65-90 foot motor yacht or sailing catamaran with full crew and water toys
  • Helicopter: one or two scenic legs of 30-45 minutes each on a Bell 429 or Airbus H130
  • Private chef on board for lunch service with a 4-course menu
  • Dedicated trip director on the ground from morning pickup to evening drop-off
  • Air-conditioned ground transport between heliport, marina, and accommodation
  • Provisioning, fuel, port and landing fees, basic gratuities for crew

Tier 1 sample price range

USD 18,000 to USD 32,000 for a party of up to eight adults, single day. The lower end of the band reflects no-helicopter or single-helicopter-leg variants. The upper end reflects two helicopter legs plus a larger yacht (90+ feet) with premium provisioning.

Tier 1 ideal client profile

Day-trippers staying at Bulgari, Aman, Four Seasons, Mandapa, or similar properties who want a single day of fully-arranged premium experience without booking an extended program. Also corporate principals on a 48-hour Bali stay who can only allocate one full day to leisure. Concierges at 5-star properties book this tier most frequently. See our detailed cost guide for component-level breakdowns.

Tier 2 — Three-Day Curated

Three-Day Curated is the entry tier for guests who want a fully integrated multi-modal arc with at least one overnight on a yacht or in a curated villa. The structure is typically: Day 1 arrival with fast-track and villa check-in, half-day spa and grounding; Day 2 full helicopter-and-yacht day to Lembongan or Penida with chef’s lunch and sunset return; Day 3 cultural Ubud half-day with private temple visit and helicopter return for departure.

Tier 2 inclusions

  • Three nights at a curated 4 or 5-bedroom villa with full staff (chef, butler, housekeeping, security)
  • One full yacht day (8-10 hours) plus one half-yacht-and-spa day
  • Two helicopter legs (one scenic, one transfer)
  • Fast-track airport service on arrival and departure
  • Dedicated trip director on call 24 hours from wheels-down to wheels-up
  • Private chef on yacht and at villa with documented allergen and preference brief
  • Ground security single-agent escort for off-villa movements (upgradeable)
  • Mercedes V-Class or Toyota Alphard ground transport for all transfers

Tier 2 sample price range

USD 48,000 to USD 85,000 for a party of up to eight, three nights. The variance is driven primarily by villa selection (a Bukit cliffside villa with infinity pool runs significantly above an Ubud rice-terrace villa of equivalent bedroom count) and helicopter usage (one leg vs. two).

Tier 2 ideal client profile

Couples or small families on a Bali-only short break, often over a four-day weekend connected to a regional business trip. Also wedding-anniversary celebrations and milestone-birthday programs where the principal wants a dense, fully-arranged program with no decision overhead.

Tier 3 — Seven-Day Bali Immersion

Seven-Day Bali Immersion is our most-requested tier. It allows full coverage of the four geographic clusters of Bali (South cliffside, Central Ubud, North reef-coast, and Nusa offshore) plus one optional one-night Komodo or Sumba extension. The structure is typically: two nights South Bali villa, two nights Ubud jungle villa with helicopter transfer, one night onboard yacht, and two nights back to a closing villa for departure prep.

Tier 3 inclusions

  • Six nights split across two or three curated villas with full staff at each
  • One overnight on a 90-130 foot phinisi or motor yacht
  • Three to five helicopter legs (transfers between geographic clusters plus scenic options)
  • Two yacht days plus one yacht overnight
  • Two private chef dinners with documented Michelin-trained chef provenance
  • Ground security: full single-agent escort throughout, upgradeable to a detail of three for high-profile guests
  • Dedicated trip director plus support coordinator (two-person team for the duration)
  • Photography or videography option, two days, family-archive only
  • Wellness option: in-villa daily yoga, sound healing, or curated spa programming
  • Fast-track on arrival and departure

Tier 3 sample price range

USD 145,000 to USD 280,000 for a party of up to ten adults plus children, seven nights. Variance is driven by villa class (Aman residences, NIHI exclusive-buyout vs. premium independent villas), helicopter density, security level, and the inclusion or exclusion of a Komodo or Sumba extension.

Tier 3 ideal client profile

Multi-generational family vacations during school holiday windows, milestone family anniversaries, family-office quarterly retreats, and ultra-HNW honeymoons that combine adventure, wellness, and cultural arcs. Read our perfect-Bali-week itinerary article for a day-by-day worked example.

Tier 4 — Custom Multi-Region

Custom Multi-Region engagements extend beyond Bali into the broader Indonesian luxury corridor. The most common patterns combine Bali with Komodo (Labuan Bajo phinisi), with Sumba (NIHI helicopter-in luxury retreat), with Raja Ampat (Sorong fly-in then liveaboard yacht), or with multiple destinations chained across ten to fourteen nights. Custom engagements may also include territory outside our standard zone — Lake Toba, Tana Toraja, the Banda Sea — handled through partner operators we have personally vetted.

Tier 4 inclusions

  • All Tier 3 standard inclusions, plus:
  • Inter-region private aviation (helicopter transfer between Bali-Sumba-Komodo legs, or chartered turboprop for longer Raja Ampat connection)
  • Multiple yacht charters in different geographic operating zones
  • Detail security (three to six agents) including pre-trip threat assessment and ground-coordination with regional authorities
  • Multi-currency invoicing capability on request
  • Senior trip director (principal-of-firm) personally accompanying for first 48 hours of trip
  • Bespoke programming: vow renewal coordination, Michelin chef fly-in, private gallery viewing, reef-research expedition with marine biologist

Tier 4 sample price range

USD 350,000 to USD 1,200,000 plus, depending on duration, region count, security level, and bespoke programming inclusions. Custom Multi-Region is sized only after a detailed scoping call and a two-stage proposal process.

Tier 4 ideal client profile

Heads of state, royal-family principals, ultra-HNW family offices managing multi-generational gatherings of 15-30 people across two or three regions, and Fortune 500 founders on a sabbatical or celebration arc. Lead time for Tier 4 is typically 60-90 days minimum.

What is not included across all tiers

Across every tier we exclude the following from the master quote and bill them separately or via the principal’s existing arrangements: international flights and private jet positioning, visa fees and immigration overstay charges, principal’s travel insurance and medical evacuation policy, personal shopping and retail, gratuities above standard recommendation (passed through at principal’s discretion), and accommodation upgrades beyond the agreed villa scope. We disclose all of these line by line in the master service agreement so the principal’s office can reconcile against expectations.

What clients tell us they value across all four tiers

Across the four tiers, the consistent feedback we receive in post-engagement debriefs centers on three themes. First, the absence of decision fatigue. Principals frequently report that the multi-modal coordination by a single party freed them from the dozens of small choices (which restaurant tonight, which beach club tomorrow, which spa for the morning) that turn what should be a vacation into a continuous procurement exercise. Second, the predictability of the experience. The fact that everything is documented, sequenced, and confirmed before arrival means principals are not adjusting plans on the morning of each day. Third, the felt-quality of vendor relationships. Crew, drivers, chefs, and security agents who have worked with us repeatedly bring a level of personal investment to the engagement that one-off bookings do not produce.

Procurement-friendly invoicing detail

For family-office travel desks and corporate procurement officers operating against documented expense controls, our invoicing structure is designed to support standard audit and approval workflows. Every invoice itemizes line items at the modality level (yacht block hours, helicopter block hours, villa nights with staff complement, security shifts, chef services, fast-track services, ground transport, management fee). Where a Tier 3-4 engagement involves multiple geographic legs (Bali plus Komodo, for example), we issue separate sub-invoices per leg with consolidated final-summary numbers. We support multi-currency invoicing on request: USD primary, with EUR, GBP, AUD, SGD, or HKD available for principals settling in those currencies. Documentation packs at engagement close include vendor receipts, certificates of compliance for security and aviation, and a final reconciliation report.

Lead-time guidance by tier

Tier 1 Day Charter is operationally workable on 14 days notice in most months, with the caveat that high-season (July-August, late-December) frequently requires 30 days notice to lock first-choice yacht inventory and the right helicopter slot. Tier 2 Three-Day Curated is best at 21-45 days notice. Tier 3 Seven-Day Immersion typically requires 30-75 days, with the range driven by villa availability — first-choice villa selections in peak windows can be locked-out 90-120 days ahead, and our practice is to commit a placeholder booking on the principal’s behalf at our risk while the itinerary is finalized. Tier 4 Custom Multi-Region requires a true minimum of 60 days, frequently 90-120 days, because cross-region helicopter positioning, yacht relocation, and senior-staff scheduling cannot be compressed below that envelope without significant cost premiums.

Quality control and pre-engagement site visits

For Tier 3-4 engagements, we conduct a pre-engagement site visit to every villa and venue on the locked itinerary in the 14 days before arrival. The visit is documented with photographs, a fresh staff briefing on the principal’s preferences, an inventory check of essentials (linen, glassware, water filtration, generator status), and a coordination meeting with the on-site villa manager to align on the trip director’s protocols. The site visit is included in our management fee and is not separately billed. The output of the visit — a brief site-readiness report — is reviewed by our duty manager and corrective action is taken before arrival on any item flagged below standard.

References on file and verification practice

For procurement officers requiring third-party verification before commissioning a Tier 3 or Tier 4 engagement, we maintain a small list of references — current 5-star concierges, family-office travel desks, and prior principals — who have agreed to take a single verification call from a prospective client. The reference list is shared after the discovery call and the issuance of a non-binding proposal, not before, because we treat the references’ time and willingness with the same discretion we apply to active engagements. Verification calls are typically 15-20 minutes and focus on operational delivery, communication standards, and recovery behavior under disruption.

How to begin

The most efficient starting point is an email or WhatsApp message describing party size, travel window, and a sentence on the desired feel of the trip. We respond personally within two business hours. Email bd@juaraholding.com or call +62 811 3941 4563. To compare against alternatives, see our honest comparison with traditional tour operators. Lead time matters — even a Tier 1 Day Charter benefits from 14 days notice to lock the right yacht, the right helicopter window, and the right chef.
